A Bit About Valerie...

Valerie is a native resident of Brunswick. She is the mother of 3 adult children and Gigi of 4 Grandkisses. She is the Transition Specialist in the Glynn County School System. She's an Author, Motivational Speaker and the CEO/ Founder of Lovesmart Inc., a nonprofit organization that educates, advocates and brings awareness to Dating Violence and Abuse.
 
Ms. Williams holds a Dual Master's Degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. She penned her first book, God's Divine Intervention, in 2002, which depicts her personal life-threatening event. She would follow with a collection of self-development books, workbooks, children books and journals for all ages. Ms. Williams has presented to various groups, private and public educational institutions, government agencies and youth centers. In 2012, Ms. Williams was named "Survivor of the Year '' during an awards ceremony at Clarke Atlanta University. In 2013, Ms. Williams was honored by Jacksonville (FL) First Coast News as "Our Hero Next Door." In 2016, Ms. Williams was honored by the AKA Sorority Incorporated South Atlantic Region, as the Social Justice/Human Award Honoree and many more for her services.
 
Ms. Williams' nonprofit organization, Lovesmart, Inc., has a mission is to bring awareness at an early age in hopes of preventing abusive relationships. Ms. Williams and her team travel twice a year to offer Lovesmart Dating Workshops to the Ministry of Education in Nassau, Bahamas. In 2022, Lovesmart partnered with the local Brunswick Housing Authority to host Teen Wellness Workshops for residents of public housing. Ms. Williams hopes to write more books and to continue empowering others to always seek to become the best version of themselves.
